About Us
Some of the tasks that volunteers may participate in include:
- transporting children or young people
- helping children and young people with homework or activities such as craft, music or sport
- teaching children and young people skills such as literacy, music or how to budget
- assisting Department of Child Protection with events, such as celebration events or promotional events
As a volunteer you are:
- required to undergo an assessment and screening process. This involves a Child Related Employment screening check, an interview, and a referee check.
- provided with orientation and training, supervision and ongoing support
